Firefighters quickly cleaned up some containers that fell off a truck and were run over.
The HAZMAT team was called in, because at first it was unclear what was in the containers. It turned out to be brake fluid and other liquids used in vehicles.
Firefighters said the contents of the containers are flammable, but were easily cleaned up.
The spill happened in the eastbound lanes of Fillmore just west of I-25 in Colorado Springs shortly after noon Monday.
Investigators said they are looking for the truck that lost the containers.
