We were there today when community leaders met today with people who've lost their homes...trying to make what comes next an easier transition.
The first hour at Palmer Ridge High School was mostly to highlight what services are available for those displaced and where to find them.
Those in charge also wanted to be a sounding board for deeper concerns.
"it's like a death and you almost want to punch a wall, so I absolutely understand that," said commissioner Darryl Glenn. "That's why it's important to have forums so that people don't feel like they're the only ones feeling this way."
Loss, bewilderment, only snapshot of how it feels to be in this audience.
County commissioners are planning more meetings to provide more chances to talk about what's next.
