Police are searching for the suspect they say robbed a Colorado Springs woman at knifepoint.
Only 11 News spoke with the victim Monday. She tells us the man approached her by surprise in the parking lot of the Taste of China Super Buffet near Chelton and Academy in Colorado Springs, around noon.
Dianne Doremus tell us the suspect threatened her with a large knife and demanded her purse. The suspect took the purse and fled north on foot.
Doremus says the purse had over $2,000 in it. She tell us she was about to pay her bills when the robbery happened.
"It's all gone. That was my rent, my utilities, my truck payment. It was everything," Doremus told 11 News. "Now I don't know what I'm going to do or how I'm going to come up with it."
Police tell us they don't have a suspect in custody yet, but they do have a description.
He's described as a white man with brown shoulder length hair. He's skinny and around 5-foot-9, and he was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans.
Doremus wants the crook caught fast.
"It's just horrible," she said. "It's scary. You're just so afraid, you don't know what to do."
If you have any information, call Colorado Springs police right away.
