Tina Finn wants to start a national movement of gratitude for our men and woman in uniform, one card at a time.

"I think we all need to say thank you a little bit more," said Finn.

But most of the time the Colorado Springs resident doesn't say a word. Finn carries the cards she designed in her purse and hands them to military members she sees out and about every day.

When KKTV went along with Finn to see reaction from soldiers we met Army CPT. Steven O'Hearn. He's headed overseas in just a few days.

"I've been in 12 years now and we're still getting thanked for what we do and I appreciate it," said O'Hearn.

11 News Anchor Dianne Derby asked O'Hearn's wife, Darlene, what it was like for her to see people thank her husband. Darlene said, "I feel very honored. It touches my heart."

Finn said handing out the cards is "goosebump good" every time.

"I've had men in uniform come up to me afterwards, catch me in the store, and say that meant so much to me I haven't been home in a year and that little thought meant alot," Finn said.

A small gesture to honor the men and women who have made big sacrifices.
