Roads are icy in spots that saw accumulating snow yesterday. Allow yourself plenty of extra time this morning and dress warmly, as wind chills are in the single digits and teens for many. A second disturbance will bring another round of snow showers to the Front Range this afternoon and early evening. While not as heavy as yesterday, some additional light accumulations over the higher terrain will be possible, including Teller and Northern El Paso Counties. Highs in the 30s and 40s will feel colder when factoring a blustery northwest wind. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
A Widefield woman has been found guilty of killing her husband.
Sandra Barajas, 52, appeared in a Colorado Springs courtroom on Friday afternoon to hear her verdict.
Barajas was silent when the verdict was read, and members of her family burst into tears.
Her husband, Miguel Barajas, 47, was found dead inside his home in February of 2013.
Sandra's daughter, Dawn Richburg, 33, had called police, saying they were burglarized.
When police arrived, they found the door open and items missing from the home. Investigators later ruled the death a homicide, and both women were arrested.
A third suspect, Tommy Wright, 34, was also arrested in connection with the case. He was a family acquaintance. Wright pleaded guilty earlier this month, and faces three to four decades in prison.
Richburg remains in jail. She will appear in court in May.
