Colorado Springs police say a suspicious device found at a home on the east side of town was an explosive.
It was found at a home in the 1900 block of Wooten Road, near Murray and Galley.
Investigators tell us they got the call just after 2 p.m. on Friday from a man who was was helping a friend clean out the basement of a home in that area.
He reported finding an item that was about 4 inches long and 2 inches diameter and had duct tape around one end with a fuse sticking out.
They evacuated the home and officers were called into investigate.
