Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
A Colorado Springs man is facing charges in the death of his wife.
After being called to the Fillmore Ridge Apartments on Chestnut for a suicide call Tuesday, officers found the body of a 25-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Karen Mamo.
Further investigation gave police probable cause to arrest the victim's husband, 26-year-old Louis Mamo, for second-degree murder.
Karen Mamo's death is the 20th homicide of 2012, a sharp drop-off from this time last year, when there were 25 homicides as of October 23. Homicides were at an all-time high for Colorado Springs in 2011.
