A Chinese newspaper has named the third victim in the Boston Marathon bombings.

According to the Associated Press, the Shenyang Evening News identified the victim as Lu Lingzi.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry and Consulate General in New York has not corroborated the report, but did say Tuesday that Lu was missing after the marathon bombings.

An editor with the paper, who asked to remain anonymous, told the AP that Lu's father confirmed her death after reporters went to their home. More than 14,000 comments and condolences have been posted on a Chinese microblogging site believed to belong to Lu.

CBS News also says they independently confirmed Lu's death.

Lu was a statistics graduate student at Boston University. The university confirmed Tuesday that third victim was a student there, but has not released the identity.
