Massive flooding caused quite the mess to Cheyenne Cañon Park in September, but on Saturday crews were able to reopen it.
Plenty of people took advantage of the park's first day open.
The primary focus for crews over the last few months has been rock mitigation to prevent any slides in the area.
Now the park and Cheyenne Cañon Road are open.
Visitors are advised to use extra caution while in the park because there still may be various types of flood damage though out the area.
Hikers can also anticipate some temporary closures of hiking trails while work continues through the upcoming spring.
The lower portion of Gold Camp Road was reopened with the park on Saturday, but the entire road won't reopen until Sunday.
