An abandoned stolen car was located by Fremont County deputies in Canon City after a short suspect pursuit early Monday morning.
The suspect escaped deputies, but the vehicle was located in an alley near 15th and Franklin soon after. The car, a white 2002 Honda Accord, was stolen out of Pueblo.
Several GPS unit, Samsung cell phones, a Canon digital camera, .270 caliber rifle, a Jeep knife/holster and a stun gun were all found inside the vehicle. Deputies believe the items were also stolen.
Deputies were chasing the suspect after he refused to stop on a routine traffic stop. No suspect description is available.
Anyone with information about this incident or the items inside the vehicle are asked to call Deputy Manalo or Deputy Richards at 276-5555.
