If you've tried calling a service number recently, looking for car seat safety information, chances are... you dialed the wrong number.
The number 1-877-LUV-TOTS used to be a phone number associated with Colorado State Patrol, and would provide information about child car seats.
Now, when you dial that number, you recieve a recording that advertising "America's Hottest Talk Line."
The number was discontinued in 2012 by State Patrol, because it was malfunctioning. State Patrol says sometime between then and now, the number was purchased by the phone sex company.
The number, apparently, still shows up on some old documents that can be found on the internet.
