The Colorado Springs Fire Department and local agencies are teaming up to help people who work with or care for children to get the vaccination for whooping cough.
Monday, the El Paso County Public Health department confirmed two cases of whooping cough were identified at Air Academy High School. The state has nearly 900 cases.
The first clinic will be held at Fire Department Headquarters, 375 Printers Parkway, on Sept. 29 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Other clinics will be held at the same location on Oct. 6, Nov. 10, and Dec. 8, also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All vaccinations are free.
The agencies hope to immunize 1,000 people.
