Police were sent to a Colorado Springs liquor store early Thursday morning because of a burglary alarm--and found the suspect hiding behind one of the refrigerated coolers.

According to police, the alarm sounded at J’s Liquor at 4:21 a.m.

The officers set up a perimeter around the business and began to search the building. They found their suspect, Ryan Engelby, 23, hiding behind one of the refrigerated coolers. They believe he got inside by breaking a window.

Engleby was arrested without trouble, police say.

J's Liquor store owner Priti Chana tells us this is the third time someone has broken into the store.

She also tells KKTV 11 News they were able to see the crook from surveillance video feed at home.

"Early this morning we got a call from the alarm company saying the motion sensors went off, we checked the cameras, we couldn't see anything so we checked it again, and there was a guy in here," said Chana.

J's Liquor is located on Fillmore, between Cascade and Tejon.
