An alleged burglar is waking up behind bars after eluding authorities for almost two weeks.
Mason Simmons will face a judge Friday for his alleged role in two break-ins in the Security-Widefield area. Guns, electronic items, and jewelry were reportedly stolen. His three suspected accomplices were arrested shortly after the Jan. 23 burglaries.
Deputies say Simmons and his friends were going door-to-door with brochures prior to the burglaries, to see who was home and who wasn't.
Simmons, 20, is charged with: possession of weapon by a previous offender, second-degree burglary, theft exceeding $20,000, and conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary.
