A burglary suspect was caught after allegedly fleeing police on a stolen dirt bike, then ditching the bike and running away on foot.

Police say David Neese, 39, was caught near N. Carefree Circle and N. Powers Blvd in Colorado Springs.

A patrol officer first spotted Neese and recognized the bike and suspect as being wanted in connection to a burglary that took place April 4. When the officer tried to stop Neese, he reportedly took off.

Nesse later ditched the dirt bike and some clothing he had been wearing and took off on foot, according to police. He was later caught.

The green dirt bike he was reportedly riding turned out to be stolen during a burglary on March 5.

Neese is charged with burglary and felony eluding.
