Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
A man accused of burglarizing homes and writing fraudulent checks was sentenced to four years supervised probation Monday morning.
Corban Elmore pleaded guilty in January to three separate charges, including second-degree burglary, identity theft and theft by receiving.
Elmore was first arrested in October of last year for breaking into homes in the northeast area of Colorado Springs. Then in November he was arrested again for allegedly writing over $15,000 in stolen checks. Investigators say he forged the owners' signature on the checks.
Further investigation into the forgery resulted in discovering Elmore had also forged letterhead and official signatures for CASA of the Pikes Peak Region and of the company known as TASC out of Virginia who have a facility in the Springs. CASA is a non-profit group that helps kids who are going through the court system.
