If you hear gunshots - call police.
That's the message from officers after bullets fly in a Springs neighborhood over the weekend.
Someone opened fire in a neighborhood near Airport and Circle, east of Memorial Park early Saturday morning.
Officers went by but didn't find anything. Hours later police discovered two homes were hit.
Police say they talked to neighbors who heard the gunshots, and never reported it.
"It was shocking," said homeowner Margot Dainowski. "I mean I was...I think that's why there was such a delay in reaction. I was so shocked to be awakened and the shots being so close."
Police say reporting gunfire could be the key to getting dangerous crooks off the streets.
