Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
A Monument woman has been arrested for careless driving causing an accident that closed the intersection of Briargate Parkway and Voyager Parkway early Saturday morning.
Police say 51-year-old Melanie Rountree ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle. Both Roundtree and the other driver had to be extricated from their vehicles and taken to the hospital. The other driver was seriously injured in the accident, but is expected to survive.
Rountree was arrested and charged with Vehicular Assault, Reckless Driving and Driving Under the Influence.
