A tin box discovered by a local park caused a brief bomb scare Monday night in Canon City.
After the Pueblo bomb squad investigated, they determined the contents of the box were harmless--just pine cones, string, beads and rocks.
According to authorities, the box was left by an autistic student at the high school. He reportedly has history of leaving boxes and packages around town with pine cones and other random items to "help people." Someone saw the boy place the box down near Rudd park on College Avenue and called police.
There will be no charges against the teen.
