A Fort Carson soldier accused of sex crimes against young girls was back in court Thursday.
The conversation in the courtroom centered around Aaron Lucas' bond.
Lucas faces multiple charges in two states, Colorado and Alabama. He is being held in Colorado without bond.
His attorney Thursday asked the court that he be issued a "reasonable" bond of $50,000, and be released until his preliminary hearing next Friday.
The prosecution disagreed, and said there is now new evidence from the kidnapping case in Alabama. The judge said the new evidence will be reviewed by the court, then the bond issue will be revisited at Lucas' next bond hearing on Jan. 18.
Lucas faces more than 23 charges, including sexual assault and kidnapping. He could spend more than 100 years in prison if found guilty.
