A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Police are investigating a bloody coat that was found by a dumpster on the northeast side of Colorado Springs.
An employee who works for Best Way Disposal reportedly found the coat while emptying a trash bin near Montebello and Academy in Colorado Springs Tuesday morning.
Our crew at the scene says there were several small pools and a trail of blood in the area around the dumpster and what looks like a bloody hand print on a nearby wall. A witness told 11 News that a pair of bloody gloves was also found nearby.
Police say they don't believe the incident involved a homicide because there was not enough blood at the scene. They tell 11 News they are checking missing persons reports.
