Authorities say a racer from Texas was killed after he crashed his motorcycle moments after crossing the finish line at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb near Colorado Springs.
54-year-old Bobby Goodin, of Flower Mound, Texas, lost control while he tried to slow down on the gravel parking lot atop Pikes Peak on Sunday. He was lying face down and unconscious when emergency crews arrived. Paramedics performed CPR on the man until he was flown by helicopter from the 14,115-foot summit.
