The mayor wants to personally say "thank you" to patrons of the Colorado Springs Airport.
Mayor Steve Bach greeted early morning flyers at the airport Monday with a cup of coffee and a copy of the Colorado Springs Gazette.
Bach tweeted out photos recognizing some of the many patrons he spoke with Monday. Among those: a girl flying to Panama and a group of soldiers deploying to Afghanistan.
In his time as mayor of Colorado Springs, Bach has been striving to attract more business to the Springs airport. He recently put together a task force meant to beef up service at the airport, offering more flights and more destinations.
