Two men are on the loose after police say they tried to carjack a person.

It happened not too far from Goose Gossage Park, where officers were also investigating a shots fired call around the same time Tuesday. Police tell us they are separate incidents.

The would-be victim told police two men approached him with a gun and tried to take his car. When they were unable to do so, they ran into a wooded area and got away. Police have not located them at this time.

The victim described one of the suspects as a white male 20-30 years old, 5-foot-9, with dark hair.

The other was a light skinned or Hispanic man, age unknown.

The incident happened on Sinton Road, near I-25 and Garden of the Gods.
