The Colorado State Patrol says a woman was fatally crushed in her garage this afternoon.
The incident happened while the woman, 54-year-old Karen Sanders, was backing out of her garage on Indiana Street in Arvada.
Authorities say the woman was backing out of the right side garage door in a two-car garage while driving her Dodge pickup truck. That's when Sanders was trapped between the driver side door of the truck and framing between the two garage doors.
Sanders was found by a family member just before 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers found the truck still in reverse. They do not know how or why the truck was in reverse with the woman outside the vehicle.
