Instead of jail, a woman's first stop after a DUI arrest ended up being the hospital after a Subaru hit the arresting trooper's vehicle.

According to State Patrol, the trooper had just placed the arrested party in the back of the patrol car Wednesday night when a 69-year-old woman crashed into the rear of that vehicle. She also reportedly hit the back of the vehicle that had been pulled over.

The DUI suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Subaru driver was cited for failing to yield to a stationary emergency vehicle and careless driving causing injury.

The incident happened on Main Street near Aztec Drive in Security.
