Armed Man Robs Walmart Overnight

After flashing a handgun at employees, a suspect was able to get away from Walmart with several stolen items.

Police are now searching for the robbery suspect.

Around 1:15 a.m., the suspect was seen inside the Walmart on East Platte first gathering merchandise, then trying to slip out without paying. Several employees had been eyeing the suspect while he was in the store, but let him go after he showed a handgun on his way out.

The suspect is described as a white man between the ages of 30 and 35, dressed in a long gray collared shirt and jeans. Witnesses said he was about 6-foot-2 and muscular, possibly weighing about 240 pounds. He left the area in a white minivan with brown wood grain panel along the sides, according to police.
