Armed Man Holds Up Chief Motel

Police are searching for an armed man who held up a motel on the southwest side of the Springs Sunday afternoon.

The suspect threatened an employee of the Chief Motel with a gun, demanding money. After the desk clerk filled his bag with cash, the suspect left the scene. Police searched the area, but were unable to find him.

The only description available for the suspect is that he was wearing a white hoodie at the time of the robbery. The robbery occurred at 4:20 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

The Chief Motel is located at 1624 S. Nevada, just west of the interstate.
