Aurora Teen Faked Own Kidnapping

Aurora detectives now say a teenager there staged her own kidnapping. Jasmine Fike, they believe, is a voluntary runaway.

Investigators say they began investigating Jasmine’s disappearance just before 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. At her home they found signs of a physical struggle and they also had a recorded 911 call in which she said someone was trying to break into her home and take her. When officers arrived, she was nowhere to be found.

An Amber Alert was released for Fike Wednesday.

Originally, the Amber Alert indicated she might have been with Franky Lamont Session, 37. Investigators now say Session did not play a role in the kidnapping hoax.

Investigators are continuing to look for Fike, and say that she may be in the company of known criminals.

Police did not release any information about the new evidence that has convinced them this was a hoax.

The Amber Alert was officially cancelled Thursday afternoon.

A great example of how our society has evolved? Are we due a comet or astroid? This world is going down the drain quick!

So, LS, are you still up for torturing the man involved?

what's wrong with the LOOKS of this man?yep, it's wrong that he had a 15 year old EX girlfriend, but he looks fine to me...Besides, that lil punk probably lied about her age, and now faking her "kidnapping" and trying to pin it on one of her ex beaus...What a nice kid!

Your right. He looks like a fine hard working successful and stable person in society. He doesn't look anything like the drug dealers and other criminals that I went to school with. Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck... could be a sheep, but chances are it's a duck. I took off my duck suit, and got away that dead end lifestyle. Maybe he should do the same.

He looks fine, for someone involved with prostitution. Maybe he looks like the people you live with, but not like the people I live with. And before you lose your mind, I'm not talking about his skin color, I'm talking about him looking like a lowlife in general.

    What a surprise...

Parents... If your teenage daughter has friends, or even acquaintances, that look like this fine, up standing citizen of our community, then I strongly suggest that you get more involved with your child's life. Make sure you know who they are hanging around with, and get to know their friends. He might be a real nice guy, but first impression in this case, does not look that way. I hope she is alright, and I hope this guy didn't do anything wrong. If the family is lucky, then perhaps there has been one giant misunderstanding. I'm sure time will tell.

@aparent I totally agree. why was she allowed to socialize with a 37 year old man to begin with? And in a picture on a Denver website they show her with tattoos across her chest. You can not get a tattoo under 18 without parental consent.

I said "if" he did take her, but so far they are saying he has no info about it. I firmly believe that if a person does harm to another that they should suffer the same fate as the victim. If laws were enforced to the highest degree maybe the crimes would be less but who knows this is a different time. I would gladly be the one to torture a person for doing the heinous crimes done to innocent people..especially children..being a victim myself I can relate on being tortured!!

Your quote LS: . "I would gladly be the one to torture a person for doing the heinous crimes done to innocent people..especially children..being a victim myself I can relate on being tortured!!" And how does this make you the better person?

So I take it... That the police are treating this as a runaway and not a kidnapping now? Even though the suspect was found and doesn't seem to have any info. I hope everything turns out ok!

So if she is still missing why is the amber alert called off?

Amber Alerts are for kidnapped children, not just missing children in general. If the cops have evidence she faked her own kidnapping, then they don't need to have citizens looking for her. Obviously she doesn't want to be found. Irritates me to no end that this girl had an amber alert issued for her and she faked it. Great use of an awesome public service! So, the next time a REAL amber alert is issued for an actual victim, no one will pay attention. She better get what's coming to her.

I sure hope they find this girl!! If they know for sure that he did take her then they need to torture him until he tells where she is..not just sit around and wait for him to say nothing or speculate where she is..enforce her rights too!!
