A kidnapping suspect was captured in Teller County Friday.
Teller County sheriff's deputies and the FBI teamed up to arrest 43-year-old Timothy Vigil, who was wanted out of Colorado Springs on felony kidnapping charges.
Springs police received a tip Friday that the suspect could be in Teller County between Florissant and Divide, and had contacted the FBI. Because Vigil was reportedly considered "extremely dangerous," and was believed to be armed, the FBI contacted the Teller County Sheriff's Office for help.
The sheriff's office says their emergency response team went to a neighborhood where Vigil was believed to be hiding out. After obtaining an arrest warrant, deputies arrested Vigil without incident.
At this time, we are working to get information from Springs police over the specifics of what Vigil was wanted for.
