A suspected bank robber is now in jail, just hours after deputies say he robbed a bank in his hometown.
According to the Fremont County Sheriff's Office, the suspect robbed the Wells Fargo at 210 Broadway in Penrose just before noon. He was believed to have been armed and got away with cash.
Around 4:45 p.m. Fremont County deputies saw a car matching the description of the one he was believed to have been driving. The vehicle was pulled over and 19-year-old Tyler Matthew Schnapp of Penrose was taken into custody.
Right after the robbery, nearby Penrose Elementary School was asked to go on lockout status while deputies searched for the suspect.
