Alcohol and Drugs Suspected in Deadly Motorcycle Accident

A motorcycle rider died Sunday after he lost control going around a curve in Fremont County, according to State Patrol.

The 56-year-old rider from Yoder was going around a curve to the right when he went off the left side of the road. The 2004 Harley Davidson Fatboy slid and rolled one time as it crashed though a barbed wire fence, according to State Patrol.

The driver's name has not been released.

The accident happened at 11:50 a.m. Sunday on Fremont County Road 27A just south of mile marker two. The area is near Cody Park Road and Copper Gulch Rd., according to State Patrol.

State Patrol says alcohol and drugs are suspected as contributing factors in the accident. Speed may also have been a factor, according to a news release.

The accident is under investigation.
