Alcohol is suspected in a single-vehicle crash near Bailey early Saturday morning.
State troopers were called to Highway 285 just a tenth of a mile outside Bailey at 3:57 a.m. on reports of a car that gone off the road. Troopers say that based on the investigation, the driver veered into the wrong lane and hit a raised median, then over-corrected and spun off the road. The vehicle rolled and ended up on its left side.
The two people in the Jeep were transported to the hospital. One person was seriously injured, but State Patrol has not specified whether it was the driver or passenger. Troopers say neither person was wearing their seat belt.
The driver was identified as 31-year-old Rosshard Thompson of Thornton and the passenger was identified as 39-year-old Tavaris Fletcher of Huntsville, Ala. Troopers say alcohol is believed to be a factor, but have not said if any charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
