Micheal Meriweather
The man accused of vandalizing several city buildings in the springs will undergo a mental evaluation.
That's the ruling of a judge after Michael Meriweather made his first court appearance today.
Our reporter in the courtroom says Meriweather was yelling during the hearing and had to be removed after several outbursts.
He's also facing felony mischief charges for putting glue in the locks of those buildings.
Police say Meriweather has a history of this kind of vandalism in Washington state.
You'll remember the damage happened earlier this month in downtown Colorado Springs. City Hall, the First Presbyterian Church and at least three other buildings were hit.
Meriweather will be in court again next month for a preliminary hearing.
