Accused Shoplifter Allegedly Caught with Drugs, Gun

A man accused of trying to shoplift from a local WalMart was allegedly caught with Meth and a gun too.

Colorado Springs police say Nelson, Franceschi, 26, had a "large quantity" of meth when he was caught near E. Platte Ave. and N. Chelton. Rd.

Franceschi reportedly did not cooperate with police, but did admit he had a gun.

He is facing multiple felony charges, including a drug charge.

The incident happened Saturday shortly before midnight.
