A preliminary hearing has been postponed for a Fort Carson soldier accused of kidnapping a local girl from her front yard.
Aaron Gregory Lucas, 31, was expected in court Thursday, but his attorney requested more time. The judge granted a postponement until January.
Lucas was arrested on Oct. 23 in connection to a series of sex offenses allegedly committed over the last two years in Fountain, Colorado Springs, and unincorporated El Paso County.
The Fountain Police Department, Colorado Springs Police Department and El Paso County Sheriff's Office learned through the course of the last several months that each agency was investigating similar sexual crimes committed against young girls in their area, dating back to the summer of 2010 when Lucas first was stationed at Fort Carson.
According to authorities, Lucas was allegedly exposing himself, then luring or attempting to lure girls under the age of 12 to commit sexual acts with him. For more information on the crimes he is accused of, click here.
