One of the men accused in a string of bank robberies in the Colorado Springs area has pleaded guilty.
Braden Butson pleaded guilty Monday to two separate bank robberies: Academy Bank on May 20 and the Peoples National Bank on May 24.
In each case, Butson said he handed the clerk a note demanding money. He said he got away with less than $3,000 both times.
Butson is scheduled to be sentenced in January. He faces two to six years for each incident, but the judge said Butson may serve his sentences concurrently.
