The eastbound lanes of Airport Road west of Powers Blvd were closed for a couple of hours Friday after a driver making a right turn hit vehicles waiting at the stoplight, according to Colorado Springs police.
The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. The road was reopened at about 11:20 a.m.
Police say a driver was going southbound on Powers Blvd. when the driver tried to make a right turn onto Airport Road. Police say the driver was going too fast and ended up hitting vehicles waiting at the stoplight in the eastbound lanes of Airport Road.
The first car in that was hit reportedly rolled over onto its top.
Springs police say some people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
