The Drowsy Chaperone (Don Ward)
Updated: 05/20/2013 - Two weekends left to catch one great show!
An Alamosa man died Saturday afternoon in a single vehicle crash in Saguache County.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but Colorado State Patrol says 45-year-old Roger Hensley was killed when his tractor-trailer truck ran off the road on southbound Highway 285 10 miles north of Villa Grove, Colo.
“The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and collided with a delineator post,” Captain George Dingfelder of Colorado State Patrol said in a statement. “The vehicle then traveled back onto the road and rotated counter-clockwise.”
That’s when the truck traveled off the left side of the road and rolled, coming to rest on its top. Hensley was pronounced dead at the scene.
While investigators do not know the cause of the crash, they say alcohol or speed did not play a factor. Hensley was apparently not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. CSP says the crash is still under investigation.
