A woman contacted 11 News after finding a giant spider outside her front door in the Security-Widefield area.
Robyn Plugge didn't know whether to just scream or scream for help, so she settled for screaming as loud as she could.
Neighbors rushed over and saw the spider as well. One neighbor was so fascinated with the spider that he caught it and now has it as a pet.
We reached out to employees at the May Natural Museum, who confirmed to us that the spider is not a tarantula. It is a wolf spider.
We have learned the wolf spider is poisonous but the bite wont kill you. If you are bitten, however, you should see a doctor.
It's also important to note as the weather gets colder, the wolf spider is often found in homes to stay warm.
