(Durango-AP) -- A 70,000 acre wildfire area near Durango has been hit by heavy rains.

Officials say the precipitation Saturday night triggered some flooding and mud slides north of Durango.

La Plata County sheriff's Lieutenant Dan Bender says roads north of Durango were closed in several spots because of deep mud and debris like large boulders and trees. He says hundreds of customers at a chuckwagon dinner theater were stranded because the road was packed with mud -- but bulldozers were dispatched to clear a path.

Bender says no injuries have been reported but some houses are filled with mud.
