Rocky Ford police tell 11 News two people were shot Saturday afternoon in what police believe was an attempted robbery. The two shooting victims are the owners of La Norteña, a clothing store.

The conditions of the victims, a married couple, are unknown. The man was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Pueblo. The woman was flown to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.

Rocky Ford police say they have two primary suspects they are looking for at this time. Both are described as Hispanic males. The first is about 18-25 years old. We're told the second suspect appears to be younger than that. They both have thin builds and are about 5'6" tall.

Cops say the two suspects drove off in a small, grey or silver sedan. They say the car has New Mexico license plates. On Sunday, Rocky Ford police released more information about the get-away car. They now believe a female was driving the car, and that it has some front-end damage. Police tell 11 News that the suspects continued shooting out of the window of the car as they headed west-bound on Highway 50. One person in Rocky Ford attempted to follow the suspects, and the shooters fired at his truck. The driver of the truck was not injured.

State Patrol and La Junta police are assisting Rocky Ford Police in locating the suspects. The Colorado Bureau of Investigations is working hand in hand with the other investigators and may end up taking over the case.

If anyone has any information on this crime or the locations of the suspects you can call Rocky Ford police at (719) 254-3344.
