Sen. Michael Bennet was jeered and heckled, as a news conference he called degenerated into a Democratic shouting match just over a week before the Colorado primary.

Bennet called reporters to the state Capitol Saturday to hear him denounce ads by his Democratic challenger, Andrew Romanoff. More than 100 Romanoff supporters crashed the event, crowding news cameras and shouting insults at a smaller contingent of Bennet supporters.

Bennet arrived late at the news conference, after Romanoff campaign workers quieted their side. Some Romanoff supporters heckled the senator during his remarks, though. The Democratic primary has turned increasingly bitter in recent weeks, with each candidate attacking the other in ads and in rival news conferences.

Both parties, are a disgrace to society. I wouldn't vote for either one of them, they have a "D" beside their name. We desperately need to balance the congress out (meaning Republicans & Democrats). Bennet was Obama's "yes senator"
