The Hasan Family Foundation may go to a collection agency to collect $300,000 from Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis.

McInnis has repeatedly said he would sit down and discuss paying the money back but the foundation says it won't sit down with McInnis until all the money is fully repaid.

As of Friday, McInnis had not made any arrangements to pay the conservative foundation back, according to a spokesperson.

The candidate has said he will pay the money back.

Allegations erupted earlier this month that McInnis wrote essays for the foundation about water policy that had entire paragraphs plagiarized from other works.

The Hasan Family Foundation has turned the whole matter over to its lawyers.

Good, now that you see the majority of the people in your party are criminals (Bush, Cheney, Palin, McInnis) and are the people for the last 10 years created this mess with our economy, you will see the light and vote democratic. And don't say Obama created this mess. We were recovering until the Greedy Old People in the senate are on purpose destroying anything good for this country that Obama has been trying to do. And you might not like it, but that's the truth!

If McInnis wants anyone to believe him, he should go ahead and pay this already to at least make an attempt to fix it. He's said he will, so what is the hold up? I never intended to vote for him anyway, but all this certainly validates my decision!

McInnis KNEW he wasn't the author of those essays, yet he was paid $300,000 (5 years salary for me). He has lost my vote. Pembry should have stayed in the running.
