About one million gallons of sewage have spilled into three ponds at the U.S. Air Force Academy. But, they say, the sewage is confined to academy grounds and is not a threat to public health. The Environmental Protection Agency is looking into the leak.
Officials said Thursday they didn't discover the leak for 42 days. They say landscaping work created a blockage that caused the leak.
Repairs are underway.
