The electoral vote system could be a thing of the past in Colorado if some voters have their way.
In November, voters will decide on Amendment 36.
It would give electoral votes in Presidential electionson the basis of popular votes instead of the winner-take-all system.
If passed, Colorado would be the first state to use such a system.
If the system had been in place nationwide 4 years ago, then Democratic candidate Al Gore, would be in the White House.
Nebraska and Maine are the only 2 states that don't follow the winner- take-all system.
