Olympic gold-medal wrestler Rulon Gardner resumed workouts with the U.S. team this week.
It's been seven months since Gardner lost a toe to frostbite after being stranded in the Wyoming wilderness during a snowmobiling trip.
Though he's limited in what he can do, Gardner says he hopes to return to competition at Arizona's Sunkist Open in October.
Gardner didn't start wearing shoes again until just two weeks ago and is wearing a larger size than normal to give his feet more room, and he's still wary of having a wrestling partner step on his still-tender feet. Even a mild blow could damage tissue and cause it to peel and scab over.
Gardner calls the snowmobiling incident a bad decision that knocked him off track.
