They say the medical marijuana industry is budding. People from all over the United States and the world came to a convention in Denver to experience everything from cannabis cooking classes and a fashion show with hemp wedding gowns, to classes on legal rights and responsibilities and a town hall meeting with lawmakers.

It's the largest cannabis convention the U.S. has ever seen, proving the medical marijuana industry is quickly planting a solid foundation.

But it's not without challenges and obstacles as there are still questions, gray areas, and evolving rules and regulations about how to streamline the industry and solidify professionalism.

Those involved say they're still fighting to be recognized as a legitimate business that medically helps people.

The goal, they say, is to continue to strive for professionalism, and a respected place in society.

in conserderation how much profit is revenued by Marijuana. We need to go back to George Washingtons philosiophy .... Make it a requirment to grow your own marijuana. Not only is it good to smoke, eat, drink.... whatever but hemp is a GREAT material to make things out of.

Amber37 - I'm with you. I've known for years and still believe that if they legallized marijuana, with terms and conditions of coarse, it would help pull this country out of debt. The revenue it produces is unreal. And to be quite honest, the only people benefiting from the money are those growing and selling illegally and immigrants bringing it in from other countries. There is a man in mexico who makes MILLIONS in one week. My opinion of weed is this... #1 it's not NEARLY as bad as alcohol. How many 'potheads' do you hear about getting addicting and having withdrawls, tremors, ceizures, having to result to another drug just to get off one???? (Food for thought) #2 at least 'potheads' enjoy themselves, go to bed, wake the next morning with ZERO side effects and able to function normal the next day. Not to mention the fact it is actually a natural cure for pain. Thats the governments real problem.... They will be taking from pharmacitical companies. But no one is taking
