Locally heavy rain will again be possible today. A round this morning and a few more storms later this afternoon will keep the flash flood threat elevated for areas that have seen good recent rain. This is aside from any potential flooding on the area burn scars. We'll track it for you this morning... Head over to the "Weather" tab for a full look at the week's forecast.
A prison riot that injured more than a dozen inmates and caused millions of dollars in damage has led Colorado officials to temporarily stop taking out-of-state inmates.
Colorado is part of a federal interstate agreement that allows prisons to exchange prisoners when needed. State corrections spokeswoman Alison Morgan says some high-profile inmates need to be moved elsewhere, and prisons can make money if there are empty beds.
But several hundred prisoners rioted at the Olney Springs prison last week, setting fires that left two inmate-living units uninhabitable. One inmate remains hospitalized with stab wounds.
The facility run by Tennessee-based Corrections Corporation of America remains on lockdown, and inmate visitation has been canceled.
