The Colorado Springs Liquor and Beer Licensing Board has revoked Syn Night Club's liquor license.

The board voted 5-0 to revoke the license after an all day hearing at City Hall.

The club is located at 217 East Pikes Peak Avenue.

The club's license was temporarily suspended 15 days ago following a night of violence at the club.

Around two dozen Colorado Springs police officers were called out to help bring the peace on Sunday March 7th, when several fights that started inside the club, moved outside, resulting in more than a half dozen people getting injured.

Police say more than 22 cruisers showed up at the fight that involved about 100 people, that's out of 54 officers who were on our city streets that night. City leaders say that jeopardized the safety of others in our community.

"When you have that many units going to one call obviously that does impact the rest of the community," said Lt. Thomas Harris, with Colorado Springs Police.

Syn's attorney had no comment other than that they are disappointed with the decision.

So glad it closed. Yes the people that caused the problems closed it but the managers and owners allowed it all to happen and did not take the steps to manage who was allowed in and who was cut off. They are just concered with bringing money in at the cost of saftey for there patrons, staff, and civillians in the area. Serves them right!!

It is a shame that anyone who has no first hand knowledge of the facts is allowed to comment. 1) the police say it is illegal for them to provide photos / names of criminals to anyone, let alone bar owners. 2)The staff there DID their jobs...very well. Patrons were cut off, and agressive patrons were escorted out CONSTANTLY. 3)Most events that were publicized had nothing to do with the club. The shootout in the alley on Dec 26th was between 2 patrons of ANOTHER bar. Most of the incidents outside with weapons were active MILITARY personnel. 4)There were about 30 people involved in the fight on March 6th (13 of them worked for the club)& NO gang members! 5)The majority of incidents at other clubs are not publicized. Certain bars actually have an ambulance parked in their parking lots all night anticipating injuries. 6)The club did NOT cater to or intentionally attract this type of crowd. 7)The ONLY people who TRULY know what happened were the ones INSIDE the club WHILE it was HAPPENING!

This is how Capitalism works in a society with rules. Are you so ignorant that you can't see that? That is why it has survived so long, but breaking the rules has finally caught up with it. Maybe you should buy the place now that it's for sale...I'm sure you could pack the place with your Socialist buddies..no wait, you don't even know what Socialism means.
